BASF holding 15th Annual Earth Day at EDCO Park
The BASF Corporation is hosting its 15th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday,April 24th from 11am - 3pm at EDCO Park in Evans City, PA. Local environmentally focused groups are invited to exhibit and distribute information about their organizations and programs.
The celebration will include environmental education exhibits, childrens activities, free refreshments and door prizes. The Earth Day event attracted more than 1,000 people last year.
Evans City Rotary Helps to Eradicate Polio with a "Pennies for Polio" Campaign
Evans City Rotary is joining all Rotary Clubs both nationally and internationally in their efforts to eradicate Polio from the world. The EC Rotary has started a grass-roots campaign for the months of February and March 2010 to collect spare change within the community. Milk bottles clearly marked with "Pennies for Polio" and the Rotary Gear Emblem have been placed at the following local businesses: Viola's Market, Evans City Pharmacy, Main Street Grille, Evans City Auto Parts, Skander Tire, Sports & Spirits, Jessica Mae's, and Discount Matresses.
Polio is curable and The Rotary is close in eradicating this dreadful disease from the world. Please help and support Evans City Rotary's local efforts to this crusade by donating your spare change to "Pennies for Polio". We need your help in finishing the JOB.
